Statistics Lebanon Ltd. was established in 1994 by a team of specialists in polling and marketing studies. The staff included four members, and work progressed to require seven members by 1995, ten members by 1996, twelve members by 1997, 25 members by 2003, and 41 members by 2008.

2. Field team:
Statistics Lebanon Ltd. has a highly specialized staff that utilizes the newest technologies to facilitate its work, and follows a specific hierarchical pyramid in executing its work. Each team is comprised of six members, a team leader, a car, and maps of the areas in which these teams operate. Each researcher has a wireless communication device that works on a VHF transmission. The team leader is a motorcyclist and this enables him/her to observe his/her team, and he/she manages the execution of the tasks from a control room that is especially established for that purpose.
The company has a team to monitor the field work, and it has the power to dismiss any field worker who fails to live up to the tasks that are assigned to him/her.
3. Experience:
Since 1994, in addition to the numerous and diverse marketing studies that our company has undertaken, as well as media and advertisement studies, we carried out a number of opinion polls in several fields (including daily polls); for example, we were able to make 450 polls during 1996. These polls were published in the local newspaper Nida'-al-Watan and were aired on ICN. An-Nahar published a series of polls at the rate of one poll per week in the years 1996-1997.
During the 1996 and 2000 parliamentary elections, our company performed a number of polls that reached a precision rate of 99%. During the 2005 elections our company performed exit polls with an accuracy rate of 99.50%.
During 1998 our company contracted with Henkel Lebanon and this enabled it to enter 400,000 households out of 800,000 in Lebanon (almost half) during a period of 90 days with a margin of error of 0.5% (as measured by an outside source).
In the past years, our company carried out a number of regional studies in collaboration with numerous Arab research centers which are found in the neighboring Arab countries. Among those studies was an economic cooperation plan for the Middle Eastern countries, the project had a European funding and was done in collaboration with the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan in Amman (Attached, is a copy of the annual reports that were prepared over a period of three years starting in 2001).
During the year 2005, Statistics Lebanon executed a nation wide survey commissioned by the World Bank covering the various schools and a sample of students in the various Lebanese areas. This survey was executed under the supervision and for the benefit of the Lebanese ministry of education.
Statistics Lebanon executed socio-demographic and political status surveys assessing the political orientations of the Lebanese citizens. The survey was undertaken in five different countries which contained comparative results at a later stage.

2. Available maps:
Statistics Lebanon Ltd. has developed its own maps[1][1] covering the various areas showing in details clusters, and blocks, start-up points and ending points during a prepared specifically for "door to door" field surveys. We also rely on the official most recent maps supplied by the MOD, covering the various Lebanese areas.
Moreover, our company has development a sophisticated GIS covering the various Lebanese areas on digital aerial photos, where residential households are shown on the map, as well to an ID number which corresponds to each of the building. Each ID is linked to a database showing information about residents, their social classes, family monthly income, average family number, occupation etc… this data base is upgraded on regular basis.
